Board of Education - James Marlatt
Jim started coming to the Town of Keene about 40 years ago, shortly after meeting his wife, Charity Washbond Marlatt. They decided to make this special community their home when they moved here several years ago.
Jim brings to the school board significant, broad based, business experience in managing several large corporate business entities. For a number of years, he was involved in the Regional Educational and Business Alliance in western Massachusetts. This organization focuses on bringing the stake holders in the educational process closer together, which includes the students, parents, teachers, administration, and the business community.
Currently, Jim serves as Board President of the AuSable Valley Habitat for Humanity and Treasurer for the Keene Valley Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. His educational background includes a BS and MS in Metallurgy, coupled with an MBA.
Jim believes his diverse background brings an added perspective to the issues facing Keene Central School over the next several years.
