Explore & Plan Programs

Explore Program

The Explore program, published by the American College Testing Program, is designed to help 8 th grade students explore a broad range of options regarding their future.

The Program prepares students for their high school coursework and post-high school choices so that they may achieve academic and career success. The key components of the Explore program include an achievement test, an interest inventory, a needs assessment and two information pieces: “Getting Ready for High School & Beyond” and “It’s Your Future: A Student’s Guide to Explore”.

Plan Program

The Plan program, also published by the American College Testing Program, helps 10 th grade students build a solid foundation for future academic and career success.

It is a comprehensive school counseling resource that helps students measure their current academic development, explore career/training options, and make plans for the remaining years of high school as well as their post-graduation years.

The Pre-ACT test of the Plan program is a powerful predictor of success on the ACT.
